I just couldn't resist....

I couldn't resist this absolutely adorably clear stamp set. It's called Jolly Follies. All of these guys come it the same set. I stamped them in black on Whisper White card stock and colored them in with my felt pens. I used Kraft, Soft Suede and Old Olive card stock and distressed the edges with Soft Suede ink. I added gold cord and a red button. I used the little hedge hog off the top of the snow ball on the next card and I added a dimensional to make him stand out.

I stamped Serene Snowflakes in Not Quite Navy on one of the Bella Bleu Designer papers with Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Real Red and Old Olive card stock. I added a red bow, a little red pom pom to the mouse's hat and I found these really cool clear dot dimensions that I added to the middle of the larger snow flakes.

This one I used Kraft, Chocolate Chip, and Old Olive. The great thing about the SU card stock is that I always seems to match any pattered paper. I added a red ribbon, tied a bow, then I added a gold cord, threaded a snow flake button on and tied it to keep it all in place.

I used the Ticket Corner on the edges to create a frame. The card stock is Kraft, Old Olive and Soft Suede. The Eyelet Border punch created the pretty edge to show off the red ribbon and I distressed the edges using my dabber and Soft Suede stamp pad. Isn't she cute!

I think he is my favorite! Same three colors of card stock. I know again, do you get the idea they are my favorite Christmas colors? Yes I love them! When you add the red bow, I think it ties all the colors together. (Oh get it, red bow, tie it all together...Okay so it's been a long day!) Anyway I also added some fake snow to the lamp post which I think adds dimension.
Okay so my youngest son, Justin is driving me crazy! He is humming and whistling Christmas Carols right now as he is setting up his Christmas Village in the Living Room. Now I have them stuck in my head.! Actually, I heard my first Christmas song on the radio today at lunch. Wow, is it really that close? Justin absolutely loves Christmas and everything about it. He has since he was old en ought to understand what it is all about. We have had to come to an agreement that there is only one decorater in the house and that is me! When he was younger he use to build displays for me all over the house. As it is I think his bedroom is moved around and rearranged at least once a month. Crazy Kid!! Anyway, he is allowed to use the top of the TV stand to set up his growing village that has almost turned into a major city. So I am being told to hurry up as he is about to make the big reveal his village. He has candles lit, Christmas music ready to play and the lights are going out so he can show me. I better run but I will make sure to take pictures to show you.
Enjoy your evening, Michelle

I'm finally back....sorry it's been so long!

Okay, I know, I went from Spring right to Winter. Not sure where the time has gone but WOW time flies!~I have been busy making Christmas Cards and other cute things though and I want to share.

This is a Hot Chocolate Card Mug....

This is a project I cased from Split Coast Stampers(I'm sorry I can't remeber who it was from). I used one of my new favorite card stock colors, Kraft to make the card and using my dabber I brushed the edges with Soft Suede to give it a distressed look. The Kraft paper looks really nice with all the Christmas colors. I thought it was a change from white or cream colored card stock. I stamped the front of the mug with Serene Snowflakes in Not Quit Navy, (another on of my new favor it colors) . Using the tag punch I made a little tag stamped with NQN too. Inside I attached a package of Hot Chocolate.

Stay tuned, I have alot more to show you. I know now why it has been so long since I posted on my blog, It takes forever!!

Enjoy your day, Michelle

Spring Is Here!!!!

Hi Everyone,

I think Spring is finally here! This is one of my favorite times of the year. The cherry blossom trees and all the other spring flowers are so beautiful especially after that long awful winter we had. I'm sorry that it has been so long since I have been in touch. I have been going through some trying times. I found a lump in my breast back in January which turned out to be a cyst but during the ultrasound they found another abnormal lump. After a needle biopsy they decided that I should have it removed. Good news everything came back normal, no cancer...YAHHHHH!!!! Remember ladies that it is so important to go for your yearly mammograms and checks. It is also very important to do regular self exams. Thank goodness mine turned out to be nothing but if it had it was found early and was very small.

Okay enough of that! Isn't this the cutest card. A very good friend of the family, Donna sent this to me after my surgery. It was such a great surprise to get this in the mail. It made my day!!!
She used the SU "Just Buzzin' By" stamp set, and the new Eyelet Border Punch.

This is such a cute stamp. I find it hard to find stamps when making cards for guys. I made this card for my Dad for his birthday. I actually cased the idea from Split Coast Stampers (sorry I can't remember who's site it was from). This is the "Under the Stars" stamp set. I also used one of new favorite designer papers, Parisian Breeze. It has a great texture and is a bit heavier than the other papers. It is also great for designing guys cards. I also used my new Oval Punch and Scallop Oval Punch.

I love this new stamp set from the Spring Summer 2009 Catalogue. It is called Friends 24-7
and I also used the new Friendly Words Wheel. The two go so well together. These cards are going to be a class that I will be offering. Details coming soon!

I'm so glad that you stopped by. Let me know what you think of my New Blog Design.

Enjoy your day, Michelle

One of my new favorites....

This is theone of the new wheels, Fashion Forward. I used it with one of the new designer paper series, Raspberry Tart. I love the colors in these papers. Very girly. This wheel also co ordinates with the set I used in the sample below, Classy & Fabulous. The saying I used on this card is from that set too. I think it is perfect...' Women are meant to be loved, not understood.' Why can't men just realize that, don't you think that the world would be a much happier place?..LOL!! The other saying that comes with that set is...'A girl should be two things, classy and fabulous.' These are going to make perfect cards for the special women in my life.

I love this design! I found it on Split Coast Stampers. I can't remember who's design it is but I had to make it. I changed a few things but it is similar. The designer series paper I used is also new, it is called Parisian Breeze. It is on of the specialty papers SU is carrying. It is actually a textured paper, really nice to work with. I think it has become one of my favorites too. I know I have too many favorites but every time I use another one of my new stamp sets or paper series I find something else I love! I am actually working on a class using these sets and papers.

Enjoy your day, Michelle

I'M BACK.....

Isn't this the cutest bag. I love the new designer papers and my favorite is the one I used on this project, Raspberry Tart. The flower is from the Flower Fancy stamp set. I used this as a Thank you gift for my hostess, Leah at her workshop. I put a package of bath salts on the inside. She loved it!

Okay I know it's been a really long time since I updated my blog. I'm sorry! I want to thank all my followers for being so patient and for reminding me that I needed to post something new. I'm so excited about the New Spring-Summer 2009 Idea book and Catalogue. I have so many new favorites that I can't wait to share them with you.

Sunday Leah had her workshop at my house and we all had a really good time! There was 17 of us, WOW! Everyone got to make 3 make n' takes shown in the picture above. We used the Botanical Blooms from the Sale-a-bration catalogue, Classy & Fabulous stamp set, Fashion Forward wheel, Petal Pizzazz set and the Chocolate Chip Designer Series Paper to create the bag of covered chocolates. Check out the pictures of everyone busy at work creating there projects.

Stay posted as I have lots of new things to show you.
