First Cake Class at For Cakes Sake...

These cakes were are first cake decorating project for our class. Tons of fun. Its a giant cupcake in the middle...Yummy!!! Learned tons of tips and tricks.

Justy's is on the right and mine is on the left. He did such a great job. Getting them home was the challenge...they didn't look as good once we got them home as they do in the picture. Good thing we had our camera.

I made these cupcakes for my boss at work for her birthday. red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing. I made the flowers from dipping chocolate by pipping the chocolate in the shape of the flowers onto parchment paper and let them dried.

Our second class is this Saturday and we are making cupcakes with different decorations. Justy and I want to make some for Halloween too so stay tuned.

Enjoy your day,

Michelle

Justy's Cupcakes...

These are the cup cakes that Justy made for Nicole and Jerry's Birthday. The sunflower cupcake is a white cake with green butter cream icing and we made the sunflower from fondant. The star cupcake is a chocolate cake with vanilla butter cream icing. He made the stars from white and dark chocolate. He make the cup cakes from scratch too. Sooooo Yummy!!! The next best baker here he comes...

They looked awesome on the cup cake tree. Jerry and Nicole got there own plate with a cupcake with all the fancy extras.

Stay tuned for more yummy treats. Justy and I are taking a cake decorating class this month at Fore Cake Sake in Abbotsford. Should be a lot of fun and a lot of calories I'm thinking!!

Check out these great new Digi Stamps I found...

I love these new Digi Stamps I found. They are from Bugaboo. It's the coolest thing. You place your order on line, most of them are only $3, Jodi sends you the link and you down load them. You then print them out on card stock and color them!! It is really neat because you don't have to worry about making a mistake when you stamp them and you can make them as big or little as you what. Tons of cool stamps to choose from. You have to check them out www.bugaboostamps.com/
Besides Snowmen I think Penguins are my new favorite. His name is Poppi...cute huh!

These little Winter Birds are so cute. This card is a combo from Stampin Up(Snow Much Fun Set) and Bugaboo (Winter Birds)
I made these tags for the kids. I thought that I would attach it to a package of hot chocolate with marshmallows and one of my chocolate dipped candy canes.
This card is my favorite!

Cottage Garden...

I feel in love with this paper as soon as I saw it! It is from K & Company, Designer Paper by Tim Coffey called Cottage Garden. I bought the pad of paper with 36 sheets so I got 3 of each design which allowed me to create the 3 dimension look. I made these cards for Mother's Day, huge hit!!

The birds are also from K & Company which I found at Michaels. The cool thing about this line is that they have die cuts, buttons & brads, tags, ribbon and other papers that all match and coordinate with each other.

To create the 3D affect I cut the first flower as the whole flower then I cut the other two a bit smaller to fit inside. I used pop up's to give it the raised 3D effect. On the birds I used thicker pop ups so that they would sit just infront of the flower.

Cupcake JJ

Another favorite of mine from Totally Stampalitious....Cupcake JJ.

I used my new cupcake punch as well. I punched it out in pink and blue and then I was able to use the blue as the frosting....love it!! The inside saying on the card says, "Cupcakes are CALORIE FREE on your Birthday!" Of course they are, it's just like when someone else brings donuts to the office they are completely fat free too. Well that is what I tell myself but somehow I still feel guilty. Why is that??

Enjoy your day, Michelle

Scrap book camp make n' takes...

Check out these great cards we make a scrap book camp. (Left) This card was designed by Cindy. (Right) Lisa made this one for us. They both used the same paper and ribbon from Stampin Up. Love the colors! The paper flower is really cute and easy to make. You just take a strip of paper and fold it back and forth. Attach the two ends together and this will create the flower. Bring it together in the center and attach to a 1/2" circle with adhesive. We attached another smaller flower with a rhinestone in the center of that.

These cards were designed by Sandra (Left) and Gayle (Right). I love how Sandra used the saying as the stem of the flower. Gayle your card is beautiful.

These ones were designed by Nola (left) and Selena (right). They both used the Big Shot to emboss and Selena used a template that cut out the butterflies as well as embossed. I love them both!
Thanks for sharing ladies, awesome designs!!
Enjoy your day,
Michelle

"Totally Stampalitious!!"

Check out my new favorites...I love these stamp sets from Totally Stampalitious. The gals are so cute and the sayings are priceless. I have the link to there blog under my favorites.

I created this card for our make n' takes at Scrap Booking Camp this past weekend. It was a huge hit! This set is only available when you purchase $50 but it is so worth it. This one is called Stampalitious Scarlette. The inside of the card says...Hand made for you with mad crafting skillz.

This one is Scarlette...I'm so excited. You have to check out the other sayings that come in this set...too funny!

Cupcake JJ is too cute. I don't know about you but that is my motto. That and when someone else brings treats into the office they are always calorie and fat free. At least that is what I try to tell myself when I am feeling guilty about having one....lol

Cafe Scarlette says it all...Enjoy the simple things in life - Shoes, Handbags and Happy Hour!

Check back soon...I have other cards we made at camp that the other gals designed for out make n' takes. Thanks for stopping by...enjoy your day,

Michelle
